Promax Polyurethane Panel Door Primer Set
Used for surface preparation of interior American panel doors, solid wood, and MDF surfaces before painting. It fills porous structures to create a smooth surface, increasing adhesion performance while reducing the consumption of the topcoat paint.
Properties
Perfectly fills wood fibers and micro-cavities on panel doors thanks to its high filling power. It can be sanded very quickly and easily after drying without clogging the sandpaper. Provides a very strong bond to the applied surface and to subsequent polyurethane or cellulosic topcoats. Features an ideal drying time for workshop environments requiring mass production and fast workflow. Thanks to its high thixotropic structure, it leaves a homogeneous film without sagging, even in vertical applications.

Surfaces must be dry, clean, and free from dust. Stir Component A well. Add Component B (Hardener) and mix until homogeneous. Dilute the mixture by 10-20% with PU Thinner. Apply 2-3 coats via air spray (Nozzle: 1.6-2.0 mm, Pressure: 2.5-3.5 bar). Wait at least 15-20 minutes between coats. After full drying, sand with 220-400 grit sandpaper. Do not use the material once its pot life has expired. Do not apply below +5°C or if relative humidity is above 80%.
Depending on the application method, 10-20% PU Thinner is added to the mixture to reach application viscosity.
90 – 110 g/m² per coat.
It can be stored for 1 year in its unopened original packaging, in a cool and dry environment, protected from direct sunlight. It must be protected from freezing and extreme heat.
