Briland Court Paint

Fields Of Use

Suitable for use on tennis courts (open, semi-open areas), multi-purpose sports fields, concrete-based sports floors, walking paths and running tracks, parks, schoolyards, and recreational areas.

Properties

Briland court paint is a pure acrylic copolymer-based, water-based, and abrasion-resistant floor coating paint developed for tennis courts and similar outdoor sports floors. Thanks to its high UV resistance, strong adhesion, and controlled non-slip surface, it provides long-lasting performance on professional sports fields. It is resistant to atmospheric conditions, water, and wear. It resists fading and yellowing. It has a structure resistant to scratching and abrasion. It has high covering power. It has high spreading properties, saving time and labor.

Chemical structure: Acrylic copolymer emulsion;
Viscosity: 120 KU – 125 KU at 25°C;
Thinner: Water; pH: 8-9;
Recommended application: 2 or 3 coats (depending on surface contamination and roughness);
Drying time: Dust-free: 1 hour, Touch dry: 2 hours, Full dry: 24 hours. Waiting time between coats is a minimum of 2 hours.

APPLICATION

Surfaces to be applied with Briland Court Paint must be sound, dry, clean, and capable of supporting the paint. Oil, dirt, loose particles, and old paint residues must be cleaned. New concrete surfaces must have completed their curing process for at least 28 days. Surface defects should be repaired using Promax Floor Repair Putty.

The system to be applied to the court surface should be determined according to the field’s intended use, athlete level, and desired game characteristics (slow – medium – fast court). The thinning ratio, sand grain size, and usage amount are determined by taking into account the purpose of the floor, the sports branch, and the targeted ball bounce speed (game characteristic). Sand grain size, dosage, and paint thinning ratio should be clarified before application, and the same parameters should be maintained throughout the process. * As sand grain size decreases: The surface becomes smoother; ball bounce speed increases; the game becomes faster. * As sand amount increases: Slip resistance increases, player safety improves, ball bounce speed decreases. * As thinning ratio increases: The surface becomes more closed and smoother, sand is distributed more homogeneously on the surface, creating fast court characteristics.

It can be applied with a squeegee or roller. During application, surface and ambient temperature must be at least +5 °C and at most 30 °C. Application should not be carried out in rainy, windy weather or under direct sunlight.

THINNING

It is thinned with clean water, free of other solvents or foreign substances, in necessary proportions according to criteria determined based on surface and application conditions.

CONSUMPTION

6-8 m²/L (single coat). It varies depending on surface absorbency, roughness, amount of sand, and application method.

STORAGE

It can be stored for 2 years in its original unopened packaging, in cool, dry environments protected from sunlight, at temperatures between -5 and +30°C. It must be protected from freezing.

PACKAGE

15 L.
