Briland Water Based Fire Retardant Paint
It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use in concrete, wood, steel, and prefabricated structures. It can be applied in all kinds of areas where fire retardancy is required, such as fire escapes, constructions, factories, military facilities, schools, and hospitals.
Properties
It is water-based and designed for fire safety. During a fire, Briland Fire Retardant Paint undergoes a chemical reaction, swells, and forms an insulation layer. This insulation layer helps slow down the spread of fire. It prevents the temperature on the surface from rising to critical levels. Its reaction to fire class is B s1 d0. No ignition or flame was observed on the surface exposed to 1400°C flame from 10 cm for 180 min. Additionally, the temperature on the back surface was measured as 312°C.

Surfaces must be sound, dry, clean and in a condition to carry the paint. Any oil, dirt, blistered paint or rust on the surface should be cleaned. Cracked and damaged surfaces should be repaired and corrected before application. The temperature of the surface to be applied and the environment must be between +5°C and +30°C. Before applying Briland Fire Retardant Paint, a Kardelen Boya primer suitable for the surface should be applied and the drying time written on it should be waited. The paint should be mixed well before application. It is recommended to apply two coats on the primer without thinning at 3-hour intervals. It can be applied in two coats by brush, roller or spraying method. If the application is to be made on exterior facades, a final coat of paint is recommended.
It is ready for use.
Depending on the absorbency of the surface and the desired resistance time, 1.8 kg/m² for 0.60-0.62 mm thickness; 10-12m²/kg for 0.09-0.10 mm thickness (material thickness varies depending on the desired flame retardant resistance time.)
It can be stored for up to 2 years in cool, dry places away from sunlight, between -5 and +30°C. It should be protected from freezing.
