Fields Of Use

Promax 2K Acrylic Topcoat Paint Set
It is used for the protection and aesthetic coating of various surfaces, especially steel and other metals, in open-air atmospheric conditions where UV resistance is required. The product is used in industrial facilities, machinery manufacturing, steel construction surfaces, and facilities with chemical processes.
Properties
It is a two-component topcoat paint cured with acrylic resin and aliphatic isocyanate. It shows superior resistance to mechanical and physical effects with an excellent balance of elasticity and hardness. It is resistant to chemicals. It offers high and permanent gloss and color intensity. Thanks to its superior UV resistance, it does not yellow or fade. It has high adhesion capability and fast drying properties.

Appearance: glossy topcoat paint
Chemical structure: Acrylic resin, polyisocyanate (HDI) combination
Viscosity (at 25°C): A: 100-110 KU A+B: 50-55 KU
Gloss (60°): 95-100 gloss
Thinner: Acrylic Thinner
Solid content (by weight %): 50% – 60% (varies depending on color)
Fineness: 5 microns
Drying (20°C and 50% relative humidity): Flash off: 5-10 min; Touch dry: 1.5-2 hours; Full curing: 24 hours.
Application surfaces must be clean, sound, and free of residues such as dirt, oil, dust, and rust that would prevent paint adhesion. To achieve higher performance, it is recommended to apply Promax Solvent-Based Epoxy Primer to the surface before the topcoat application. Components A and B are mixed in the specified ratios (4+1). (The packages are prepared according to the full mixing ratio; the material should not be increased.) Component A is started to be mixed with a mechanical mixer, and component B is added slowly while continuing to mix for 5-10 minutes. If necessary, the application viscosity can be adjusted by thinning with a maximum of 10% Acrylic Thinner. It can be applied by roller, brush, conventional suction-fed, or gravity-fed air spray gun (1.8 mm-2 mm. Air pressure: HVLP 2.5-3.5 BAR). The pot life of the mixture is 4 – 5 hours at 20 °C.
It can be made ready for use by thinning up to a maximum of 10% with Acrylic Thinner, depending on the application method.
12-14 m2/kg at 40 micron film thickness. Consumption varies depending on the type of surface, its absorbency, and application habits. A controlled sample study should be conducted for exact consumption.
It can be stored for 2 years in its unopened packaging in cool, dry environments away from direct sunlight. It must be protected from freezing.
16 kg paint (component A) + 4 kg hardener (component B) tin can
