FIELDS OF USE
Transparent Insulated Primer (1/7)
It is used as priming for plaster, lime, gypsum board, low quality plastic paints and high absorbent surfaces.
PROPERTIES
It is a water-based and dense concentrated Primer with high penetration and adherence. It is odorless. It forms a binding bridge between paint and surface, enhances adherence of the paint to the maximum level, reduces absorbency of applied surfaces, prevents early drying of the paint, and prevents color fluctuations that may occur on the finish on surfaces with different absorbing properties. It significantly reduces paint consumption.
Appearance: Transparent, colorless.
Chemical Structure: Acrylic copolymer emulsion.
Viscosity: 100 KU -105 KU at 25°C
Thinner: Water.
Ph: 8-9
Density: 1-1,05 gr/cm3
Solid Matter Quantity: 6% -8%
Recommended Application: 1-2 coats depending on the absorbency of the surface.
Drying period: Full drying period is max. 24 hours, time to wait between two coats is 1-2 hours.
Application surfaces should be dry, clean and able to carry the paint. Cracked or damaged surfaces should be fixed before application. After sanding plaster and similar surfaces, the surface should be wiped with a damp cloth / damp car washing brush / whisk to remove dust before applying the Primer. During the application, surface temperature should be between +5°C to +30°C. Paint should be applied at least 4 hours after the Primer. During application, attention should be paid not to leave a nylon-like layer.
It is recommended to thin 1 unit Primer with 7 units of water depending on surface conditions with clean water including no other solvent or foreign material.
It ranges from 15 to 25 ml/m2 depending on the type, absorption properties and texture of the application surface. 1 liter Primer may cover 40-65 m2 area in a single coat.
Storable for 2 years in cool and dry places away from direct sunlight between -5 and +30 °C with the lid tightly closed. Avoid freezing.
