Fields Of Use

Promax Anticorrosive Epoxy Primer
Used in heavy industry and steel structures such as factory buildings, bridges, and crane systems; offshore equipment and coastal metal applications; infrastructure elements including pipelines, external surfaces of storage tanks, and dam gates; and maintenance-repair projects in restricted areas where abrasive blasting (Sa 2½) is not possible and only manual/mechanical cleaning can be performed.
Properties
This two-component, polyamide-cured modified epoxy system does not merely adhere to clean surfaces like conventional coatings; it integrates high-performance anticorrosive protection with surface-tolerant technology. By penetrating deep into microscopic rust pores, it bonds with existing oxides and cuts off oxygen contact to halt the progression of corrosion. Consequently, it provides superior resistance even on surfaces where full sandblasting is unfeasible. It delivers high mechanical strength, moisture resistance, and chemical durability.

Chemical Structure: Epoxy resin polyamide hardener combination.
Appearance: Semi-Matt
Solid Content: 75% ± 2
Viscosity: 110KU–120 KU at 25°C | Mixing Ratio (A/B) | 16 + 3.5
Fineness: 5 microns
Drying Time: Touch Dry: 4 hours, Hard Dry: 12 hours, Full Cure: 7 days.
Surfaces must be free from all mechanical and chemical contaminants. While blasting to Sa 2½ (ISO 8501-1) is recommended, the product can be applied directly to rusted surfaces prepared by mechanical cleaning (St 2 or St 3). Surfaces must be completely free of oil, grease, and loose rust flakes. Stir Component A with a mechanical mixer until homogenous. Add Component B (Hardener) and continue mixing at low speed for 3–5 minutes. The mixture should rest for 10 minutes before application starts. Approximately 90–120 minutes at 20°C. Once the material begins to gel, do not attempt to thin it. Ambient and surface temperatures should be between +5°C and +30°C, with relative humidity below 80%. The surface temperature must be at least 3°C above the Dew Point. Can be applied by airless spray, roller, or brush. Minimum overcoating interval is 6 hours at 20°C.
10% thinning with Epoxy Thinner is recommended.
~11 m²/L , 5–7 m²/kg at 50 microns DFT (Dry Film Thickness). Consumption varies depending on surface roughness and application thickness. A controlled sample test is advised for exact consumption.
Can be stored for 1 year in original unopened packaging in cool, dry areas (0°C to +30°C) away from direct sunlight. Protect from freezing.
16 kg (Component A) + 3.5 kg (Component B)
